I really do think too much. AND, I can't remember when my mind has been challenged so much.
It's GREAT!
"But if consciousness would seem to be represented by fractal behavior, what is the underlying recursive algorithm?"(dj)
I've got the feeling that the algorithm is simple...right there in front of my eyes. But still I think.
Is the algorithm consciousness?
Is the algorithm simply I?
Or should I just stick with riding the 'strange loops'?
Are these 'strange loops' what is going on in my head everyday?

While I think the underlying algorithm may be as simple as the sound of a beating heart and a yearning to return, I (re)read something the other day that makes me wonder whether the basic unit(s) of consciousness are intuition, understanding, courage, knowledge, counsel, worship, and wisdom. What if we inhabit a seven-dimensional universe and what we "know" is constructed from the simplest units of these abstracts?
ReplyDeleteSimple works for me dj! And a seven-dimensional universe is most interesting and understandable. Would this also coincide with our growth...to wisdom? Our spiritual growth? I don't believe in coincidence at all, but before I came here, I blogged. As we age, we learn. Intuition lives near survival instincts, and the rest are learned. And I believe as did the Cherokee that what we now understand, then have developed courage and knowledge, we are obligated to counsel. To tell these stories. To pass on our history. I put a link up to "We Shall Remain" in my blog. I watch the simplicity and beauty of these people. I watch how they worship the land that creator placed them upon, and called themselves the earth's caregivers. Family was of the utmost importance...and my mind wanders to my blog.
ReplyDeleteI notice that worship is a stepping stone to wisdom. I don't believe a person could achieve wisdom without it. Or for that matter, the counsel either.
Thanks for the journey into caves in my mind that have not been visited for a long time or even never! I enjoy the way you make the gears in my head grind. I do wish though that I could express myself as well as you are able. Hope that rubs off on me. ::::the company you keep comes to mind;::: :)
I have heard and read about the existence of 'levels' in...the other side, the spirit world, heaven, whatever you choose to call it. This is spoken of in "Conversations with God...an uncommon dialogue" by Neale Donald Walsch. god ("I"?) tells him that even Hitler is there...just on a lower 'level'. And so then, the seven dimensional universe could in some way relate to these 'levels'?
